Artist Bio

Jo-Ann Dziubek-MacDonald has been painting with watercolor since 1993. She has always loved painting and drawing since she was a child. She describes watercolor as the perfect medium to express herself because of the fluidity , yet it allows detail work where she feels it is needed. Some of her favorite subjects to paint are florals and quilts and angels. “I love bright, vivid color and I love to show that in my paintings.” She is a member of Visual Arts Nova Scotia and the Cape Breton Artists Association. Her work has been shown in group shows and local galleries as well as in private collections throughout Canada and the United States . She currently lives in Sydney, NS with her husband, Bruce and sons Andrew and Ethan.
